Catamaran Literary Reader is a new quarterly literary and visual arts magazine. Our inaugural issue was published on October 17th 2012. Catamaran features fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and fine art. Based in the new Tannery Arts and Digital Media Center Studios, in Santa Cruz, CA., our mission is to capture the vibrant creative spirit of the West Coast in writing and art from around the world. Among the themes we address are the natural world and the environment, personal freedom, innovation, and the artistic spirit. We seek to present diverse voices in a creative, sophisticated format by publishing the best literary writing and fine art we can find.
Catamaran Literary Reader (ISSN 2168-7226) is a print magazine published quarterly and distributed nationwide and in Canada. Catamaran Literary Reader is a California Nonprofit Corporation with 501C-3 tax exempt status, and all donations are fully tax deductible.
Catamaran Literary Reader accepts fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and art. Themes we are especially interested in include , the environment the artistic spirit, personal freedom, and innovation.
