The Natural World: Gaining Inspiration from the Four Elements

The ancient Greeks believed that there were four elements that everything was made up of: earthwater, air, and fire and this idea figures prominently in both Western and Eastern astrology. In this series of four classes we’ll examine the elements as written about by poets such as Neruda, Oliver, Frost, Hopkins, Bukowski, Kenyon and Donne. Finding inspiration, we’ll write and edit our own poems.

Monday evenings 6:00-8:00 p.m. on May 1, May 8, May 15, and May 22

Classes meet at the Catamaran Center for the Literary Arts, 1050 River St. in Studio #118
