Join us for a "Lit Chat" with Santa Cruz based author Lis Bensley as she discusses her new novel The Glimpse. Lit Chat is at the Catamaran studio and is part of First Friday open studios at the Tannery Arts Center. The reception is from 5:30-6:00 and will be held outdoors in the courtyard. Then join us inside for the presentation and reading, but be prepared to wear a mask. Book signing will follow in the courtyard.

THE GLIMPSE is a moving, unsentimental tale of the charged New York art world of the 1950s and the relationship between a mother and daughter as they grapple with their relationship that becomes pivotal to their artwork.

Lis Bensley has written for The New York Times, The International Herald Tribune, ArtNews, Elle Décor, Fine Cooking, and the Santa Fean. She is author of The Women’s Health Cookbook and The Adventures of Milo and Flea. The Glimpse is her first novel.
